In this video I’m going to teach you how to cut The ficus panda plant.
This video is specifically catered to people who don’t know how to cut the ficus panda plant (ficus truncuta)
Name of plant:
Ficus Panda plant/
Ficus truncuta/
Ficus retusa
Ficus Panda plant:
The Ficus Panda, also known as Ficus truncata or Ficus retusa, is a popular, low-maintenance, evergreen ornamental plant prized for its lush, dark green, glossy, leathery leaves and smooth, light grey trunk
Care and Growing Conditions:
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch its leaves, so position it away from strong sun exposure.
Watering:
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, ensuring good drainage to prevent root rot.
Humidity:
Thrives in high humidity environments. Increasing humidity can be achieved by placing a tray of water near the plant or using a humidifier.
Soil:
Requires well-draining soil, ideally enriched with organic matter like compost and coco-peat.
Temperature:
Can tolerate warmer temperatures by placing it in a shaded area during summer (above 45°C). During winter or below 45°C, it can be exposed to direct or indirect sunlight.
Pruning:
Tolerates pruning well and can be systematically pruned to shape the crown and encourage bushier growth. The best time for pruning is in the early summer weeks or May, focusing on trimming branch tips.
Color: Glossy green leaves with vibrant yellow variegation.
Height: Grows up to 2-3 feet tall.
