In this video, we'll cover the essential steps for successful screen printing. While we have demonstrated many important aspects, there are a few additional tips to help you achieve even better results.

Firstly, using high dpi screens is recommended as they offer finer detail and improved print quality. Secondly, having someone hold your frame while using two hands to evenly pull the squeegee ensures smoother printing. If a drying unit is inaccessible to you, covering the print with a piece of paper and ironing it for a minute can achieve heat setting. Lastly, if you're working with dark materials, selecting an ink labeled "super opaque" will result in brighter and more vibrant prints.

To get started with screen printing, gather your materials - a screen and squeegee. Additionally, you'll need photo emulsion for the printing process. Mix the sensitizer with water, then combine it with the emulsion until it forms an evenly colored green mixture. Apply a small amount of the emulsion to the screen and use the squeegee to spread it evenly on both sides, ensuring full coverage.

After applying the emulsion, dry it in front of a fan in complete darkness. Once dry, place your artwork backwards on the back of the screen and secure it with tape. Use a piece of glass to hold the artwork against the screen. For proper exposure, apply a very bright light for 30-45 minutes. Sunlight can be used as well, but exposure time varies depending on cloud cover and placement. The areas covered by your artwork will remain unexposed.

To rinse out the unexposed emulsion, gently use a light spray and a soft toothbrush. Take care not to apply excessive force, as this may remove emulsion around your design. If there are any areas you don't want to print yet, or where the design needs masking, painters tape is a useful tool.
