The venerable Samson S-Patch has a new competitor, I have both in my studio and wanted to share my experience and opinion on the similarities and differences.

**(The Samson has a “thru” setting which allows you to isolate the top row of jacks from the bottom row. This means you can use the slots to route two independent streams that are never normalled to each other. This is actually a HUGE win in flexibility and usefulness for the Samson. I should probably make another video demonstrating why it makes the S-Patch a slightly different animal!)***
