Hammered Driver Laughs His Way to Jail After Crashing Into a McDonald's

On May 25, 2023. An officer from the Nekoosa Police Department Responded to a McDonald's for the report of a possible drunk driver that had crashed into the building. The officer made contact with the driver (Mitchell) who admitted to drinking about 6 beers. A field sobriety test was performed but the driver stated that he was unable to do some of the tests. A PBT test showed that Mitchell had a BAC of .170. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw before being transported to jail. The driver was found guilty for Operating with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (5th). He was sentenced to 18 months in jail, 3 years of probation and ordered to pay over $1800 in fines. His drivers license also got suspended for 36 months.
