In analyzing @DoodleOnAMotorcycle’s recent crash, I found something really interesting. Let’s talk a bit about what makes a wobble worse and could have contributed to this crash.
**How to SURVIVE a Death Wobble**
Close the Throttle Gradually: Slow down by easing off the throttle, but do not chop it suddenly.
Shift Your Weight Forward: Lean your body as far forward and down as possible. This helps to put more weight on the front wheel, which can stabilize it.
Don't Fight the Wobble: Loosen your grip on the handlebars and try not to fight the movement.
Do Not Use the Front Brake: Applying the front brake can make the wobble worse and could cause you to lose control and crash.
Use the Rear Brake (If Necessary): You can use the back brake to help slow down if needed.
