what happens to your body when you get infected with coronavirus?
first, I must clarify that this is not an airborne disease so, it won't spread through the air.
if an infected person sneezes the coronavirus travels through the sneeze droplets and it land on your hand or another body part. now if you touch your nose, eyes, mouth. the virus enters your body, and that's how you get infected with the coronavirus.
When the coronavirus enters your body you feel like a sore throat and mild cough. the virus binds the two cells present in the lungs which are goblet cells and cilia cells, goblet cells are responsible for the production of mucus while cilia cells prevent your lungs from filling up with debris and fluid such as virus and bacteria and also the particles of dust and pollen. coronavirus attacks these cells and starts to kill them - so your lungs begin to fill with fluid making it harder for you to breathe.
At this phase, your immune system will start to fight off the virus and this will develop a fever and your body temperature rises. this will create a hostile environment for the virus. You will start to get rid of the mucus in the form of coughing and a runny nose.
only 20% of people are badly affected by this phase and cause death. normally 80% of people have better chances of fighting due to a strong immune system. so you don't have to worry too much just take some precautions and everything will be fine in 1-2 months. and don't believe in rumors.
