Location 1 -- love valley
Why is it called Love Valley in Cappadocia?
Love Valley, also known as Baglidere Valley, is one of the most fantastic valleys of Cappadocia. Located between Avanos and Goreme road, the valley is named after the interesting fairy chimney formations 😉, and being popular with the couples for marriage proposals.
Location 2 -- CAVUSIN
Cavusin Village is located between the towns of Avanos and Goreme, in a valley which has gradually become wider. The village contained many Christian Orthodox families by the beginning of 20th century.The houses were actively used until 1924 when the population exchange happened between Greeks and Turks. All Turkish Muslims citizens in Greece had to move out from Greece while about 1.2 million Christians left Turkey because of the same population compulsory according to officials.
Location 3 -- ORZONAK UNDERGROUND CITY
It is believed that the underground cities of Cappadocia were initially built during the eighth and seventh centuries BCE by the Phrygians, who carved their living spaces into the region’s soft volcanic rock. There are around 200 cities in total in Cappadocia, with the most visited including Derinkuyu and Kaymakli.
