Aveiro (2023) is a coastal town in the centre region of Portugal (Região de Aveiro). It is the second largest city of that region after Coimbra. Aveiro has a population of 80,000 although in the urban area (together with the city of Ilhavo) the population increases to 120,000. Some of the highlights of this beautiful town are the city centre with the town hall, the São Roque Channel with the Moliceiro Boat, the Ilha Dos Puxadoiros, the Capitania do Porto, the Salt Palheiros and the Salt Warehouses.
