2020 Lotus Evora GT and Evora 400 comparison

Comparison video between the Evora 400 and the Evora GT both being very capable cars with Lexus sourced 6 cylinders that have been intercooled and supercharged. We'll start of the the 400 here first, it was a big re-design from the Evora. Much more aggressive front bumper, rear bumper and up to the 400HP. This car is equipped with Michelin pilot sports tires and has been named one of the best drivers car in the light and intuitive handling.

The body lines are very aggressive throughout, as you come in here another big change from the previous model Evora was you got 4 inches extra cabin space.

This car comes with a 6 speed transmission very user friendly with a nice feel. For those of you looking for a manual transmission this is a very light and intuitive car.

It is a 2+2 set up but dont worry your luggage will go in the back just fine. As we come to the back on the Evora 400 you have the clear engine bonnet, three piece wing and a much more aggressive diffusor.
Another huge change on this car is they went to a valve exhaust, which when open crackles and pops and makes all sorts of great noises. When it's closed you hear the supercharger wine from that 6 cylinder.

Now as we move forward to the EVORA GT they did some stylistic changes, they took some weight out of the vehicle and gavee it a little more power. One of the things you'll first notice it that it has the louver fenders here as opposed to the 400 which does not, that helps relieve some pressure from the wheels wells.

The Evora GT also went to a little bigger wheel and tire setup with the Michelin Sport Cup 2's.and they did a little cut out behind the wheel which makes for a nice stylistic appearance.

Now as we come around to the back of the car, this car is equipped with the carbon fiber pack which gives you the carbon fiber roof, carbon rear segment and carbon hatch. Now on the GT one of my favorite parts on this vehicle is the redesign on the rear bumper. You have exposed carbon fiber, it is a full carbon fiber rear bumper, much more aggressive diffusor and if you look, these cut out where you can see into the rear wheel. Again, allowing pressure out of those wheel wells for better handling. Now the GT ended up losing about 70 lbs of weight as opposed to the Evora 400. It went up 16 HP and it got it to a 3.8 0-60 as opposed to the just over 4.0 seconds 0-6- that you had in the Evora 400.

Now as we move inside they did a few other changes. The materials used is the leather and alcantara throughout, the deviated stitching in two different colors. You get the carbon sills, carbon fiber seats with the carbon backs. This one has the optional painted trim in yellow and you get the carbon fiber on top of the instrument cluster as well.
