This clip features only the live studio portion of the Ramblin’ Rod Show, filmed just before Thanksgiving sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Our Boy Scout Troop was lucky enough to be part of the audience that day!
Digitized from VHS to preserve a piece of Northwest television history. The cartoon segments that originally aired have been removed so this upload focuses on the in-studio experience with Ramblin’ Rod Anders and the kids.
Fun fact: Portland native **Matt Groening**, creator of *The Simpsons*, once said that Ramblin’ Rod was part of the inspiration for Krusty the Clown — making this show a small but memorable part of TV legend.
