🎥 Wednesday Oddities - Kirby in Sonic the Hedgehog (Fan Hack)

This week’s oddity takes us into crossover territory: Kirby in Sonic the Hedgehog!

Not an official release, this fan hack (title screen copyright Lone Devil) swaps out Sonic for Kirby in Sonic the Hedgehog 1. The result? A pink puffball tackling the blue hedgehog's zones with a lot of Kirby charm.

Since Selkiepup is a huge Kirby fan, we handed him the controller for this one. He dives straight into the Marble Zone, testing Kirby’s mettle against lava pits, crushing blocks, and tricky platforming.

While this fan hack is the work of Lone Devil, full credit must also go to the original creators of these iconic characters. Sonic the Hedgehog was created by Sega and first released in 1991, while Kirby was created by Masahiro Sakurai and developed by HAL Laboratory, published by Nintendo in 1992. Both franchises remain beloved pillars of gaming history, and this crossover oddity is purely a fan‑made project celebrating their legacy
