South Asian Gay Marriage | Love Against The Odds | Channel 4 Documentaries

“Oh my God, I knew I liked boys so much.” From growing up in an ultra-orthodox Muslim house hold to living their best lives together and creating a drag persona that celebrates their joint heritage, Aamir and Amir (@youdontlovemeboys on Instagram) are now out and proud.

Their experience of growing up in toxic households, to finding each other and shouting their love to the world; they’re the first gay, South Asian couple to be married in Bradford – and they won’t be the last.

Love Against The Odds celebrates and shines a light on love stories across the UK. These couples have overcome prejudice, trauma, struggles and misunderstanding show that even when the odds are stacked against them, love can conquer all.
