The Flash of Liberation: Mercury conjunct Uranus

O, Illuminating Presence,

Help us open - without fear - to Thy Lightning Bolts of Liberation

Strengthen and support us that we might welcome the Clarity, recognize the Vision, and integrate Revelation

And thus bring greater freedom into our lives - individually and collectively.

This conjunction symbolizes the breaking through of Divine Insight. Mercury - Everyday Mind - is illuminated by Uranus - the Lightning Bolt.

This encounter brings the sudden, uncontrived, and often unexpected bolt of energy and vision that crashes the gates of the personality - shattering the comforting, self-enclosed wall of beliefs, conditioned values, and historically-defined identity.

Jung writes: Lightning signifies a sudden, unexpected, and overpowering change of psychic condition.

The liberational energy that is virtually always experienced as an intrusion by the ego. A destabilizing force. But, it’s the very stabilization of our egoic-conditioned identity - with its contracted horizon of awareness that is structurally the source of our on-going suffering.
