This is the first episode in my great guitar build off 2021 entry where I am carving a quilted maple top with gouges, thumb planes (violin makers planes) and scrapers, I also cut out the top and body with the band saw and us the table router to shape the top prior to carving.
I am making a semi hollow (with f hole) quilted maple double cut carved top guitar with a walnut neck and body, with ebony fingerboard, maple binding and hand-cut custom inlay.
