Amchi Vasari is an attempt to bring back all the forgotten recipe(grandmas) and we wish to contribute our grandmas recipes to our next generation.
It is a great privilege to learn recipes from our mother.
This pickle recipe is my grandma's recipe.
In general measurement for pickle preparation is always same as given below:
Karanda in brine
Karanda - 1 kg.
Salt - 1/2 kg.
For masala preparation
Short chilly (guntur chilly) - 1 seer(175 gram).
Mustard seeds - 1/2 pau(125 gram).
Asafoetida paste - 5 gram. (superior hing- good quality)
Salt - 1 pau (250 gram)
Water - 1½ liter.
