How you realize grassed areas and bushes in your miniature landscapes with Magigras und bFlock
We want to show you how to use Magisgras to realize grassed areas and bushes in your miniature landscapes with Magigras from Microrama. Therefore we need a base of styrofoam for the model, a cutter, a spatula, a mixing bowl, a kit of Magigras, wrapping film and Magispray from Microrama.
Here are the products used for the demonstration:
The resin https://eshop.microrama.eu/fr/61-resines
The glue https://eshop.microrama.eu/fr/59-collage
The bFlock hhttps://eshop.microrama.eu/fr/133-app...
Static gras https://eshop.microrama.eu/fr/60-herb...
The flower https://eshop.microrama.eu/fr/66-fleu...
We spray a thin film on the base, let it dry and put on the wrapping film on the styrofoam
and cut the rest of the wrapping film with the cutter.
After that, we mix a little bit of the Magigras powder with the Magigras liquid and mix it with the spatula, you can press the spatula on the ground of the bowl to avoid crumbs.
Now we put the mixture on the wrapping film and create and even surface with the spatula.
The resin takes between16 to 24 hours to dry.
After the resin has dried, we take it of the base and the process of flocking follows.
We prepare our Magifloc fibers with the size of 2 , 4,5 and 6 mm, in the colors lime green, dark green and brown, as well as the yellow and purple Magiflor Granulate
To do the Flockig we use the Microrama bFlock 50, with which you reach a height between 6 to 10 cm.
We put on the Magispray in a prepared box to keep the sourrounding space clean.
It is also good use it in a well aired room, so the steam disappears easily.
We start the flocking with the lime green fibers of 4,5 mm and big flakes to get some bunches of gras. We glue again with the Magispray and do the flocking with the green keeper until the desired height is achieved.
Now we can start the flocking with the lime green fibers of 2 mm, therefor we need to change the grid of the bFlock with a finer grid. We put on the Magispray and do the flocking afterwards. You can repeat that process until your desired result is achieved.
If you use for each following layer smaller fibers you can develop branchings and arborescent textures.
Now we continue withe the dark green fibers of 6 mm with the exact same process, spraying and flocking until the desired result is achieved. We use for each layer smaller fibers and end with the fibers of 2 mm.
After that, we use brown fibers with a length of 6 mm to imitate bushes. Now we use less fibers for each layer to imitate a realistic distance between the stems.
We use the bFlock very close to the already flocked areas to get outstanding fibers. After that, we finish with a last layer of 4,5 mm.
To Imitate the thorns of the bush we use dark green fibers of 1 mm.
Finally we come to the next step of placing the Magiflor granulate on the bushes.
We spray up a layer of Magistray on the bushes and add the granulate with a sieve by holding the landscape vertical so the granulate can touch the tops of the fibers.
After that we put on another layer of brown fibers of 6mm and another layer of Magiflor to achieve a thick looking bush. The last layer is purple granulat which you can lay on just like the other granulate before. To finish the landscape we plant different plants.
When your finished I recommend you to spray a final layer of hairspray on the landscape so the fibers are conserved.
