剧目简介
《秦琼卖马》又名《天堂县》《当锏卖马》，事见《隋唐演义》第六回至第九回，《说唐全传》第五回。秦琼押解配军至潞州天堂县投文，因县令不与回文，困居王老好店中。王老好屡次索要店饭钱，秦琼无银可付，忍痛欲卖黄骠马，恰遇单雄信，二人订交。不料变故突生，单雄信的兄长被李渊误射而死，雄信匆匆借马而去。而后，秦琼只得于长街卖锏，又遇王伯当、谢映登。二人愿为秦琼代索回文，并助其返回山东。
Synopsis:
"Qin Qiong Selling His Horse", also known as "Tiantang County" and "Selling the Horse and Mace", is based on chapters six to nine of the Romance of Sui and Tang, and chapter five of The Complete Tale of Tang. The story follows Qin Qiong who, escorts exiled bandits to Luzhou's Tiantang County. Upon arrival, he seeks official documents but is refused by the magistrate, leaving him stranded at an inn owned by Wang Laohao. Unable to pay for food and lodging, Qin Qiong reluctantly decides to sell his beloved yellow steed. He meets Shan Xiongxin, who is interested in buying his steed. While they two makes friends, things take a sudden turn. Shan's older brother is accidentally shot by Li Yuan, forcing Shan to hastily borrow Qin Qiong's horse and leave. Later, Qin Qiong has no choice but to sell his mace on the street, where he meets Wang Bodang and Xie Yingdeng. They offer to help him obtain the necessary documents and assist him in returning to Shandong.
