This video will clarify what SD is, explain the key principles and design assumptions, and provide a step-by-step derivation of essential formulas for analyzing a singly reinforced beam. Additionally, we will discuss the types of failures and strain limits, focusing on the differences between Balanced Condition, Tension-Controlled Sections, and Compression-Controlled Sections. Finally, we’ll cover the minimum and maximum requirements for flexural reinforcement.
