A close-quarters clash erupted, leaving two fighters dead while a third attached an explosive to a Namer armored vehicle before retreating underground. Palestinian sources called the confrontation retaliation for Israeli incursions and said two Israeli soldiers were injured, while Israeli reports claimed the fighters fired an anti-tank missile first, prompting IDF forces to kill two operatives and treat two wounded soldiers on-site; the explosive device did not detonate.
