For nearly 20 years, fans have flocked to Miller Park for MLB games, concerts, soccer matches, and more. Located in Milwaukee, WI, Miller Park first welcomed fans on April 6, 2001. Frequently referred to as one of the best MLB stadiums in the country, Miller Park is the home to the Milwaukee Brewers. Opening Day in 2001 included many special moments to commemorate the opening including first pitches by President George W. Bush and MLB Commissioner/Brewers Owner Bud Selig.
The Miller Park name has been endeared to many fans and community members over the years. Once based in Milwaukee, Miller Brewing Company was a huge part of the cities identity. In 2016, Molson Coors bought the company and moved the headquarters to Chicago, while still operating the brewing facilities. While no longer based in Milwaukee, the company is still a big part of the community.
In 2019, after discussions with Molson Coors about extending the stadium's naming rights, it was announced that the Brewers had reached an agreement with American Family Insurance to re-brand the stadium as American Family Field on January 1, 2021 at 12:01am.
In honor of the stadium no longer being named Miller Park, here is a short video of aerial drone shots around the stadium during the summer of 2020.
