This video breaks down the awesome pattern Billy played in "Vital Transformation" by Mahavishnu Orchestra, circa 1971! You can ship ahead to 16:06 if you don't want to endure the entire solo section. Also, it got a bit ragged at some spots......owing to the fact that, well, I ain't no Billy Cobham! Regardless, I hope those of you who wondered WTF he played on this tune get something outa my humble presentation. :)
