തിരുവനന്തപുരം കാട്ടാക്കടയിൽ നെയ്യാറിന്റെ താഴ്ചയുള്ള കനാലിലേയ്ക്ക് കാർ മറിഞ്ഞ് അപകടം. വാഹനത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന നാലംഗ കുടുംബം അത്ഭുതരമായി രക്ഷപെട്ടു. കൈവരിയില്ലാത്ത ഭാഗം സ്ഥിരം അപകട മേഖലയാണെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർക്ക് പരാതിയുണ്ട്.
വീരണകാവ് ജംങ്ഷന് സമീപം 20 അടി താഴ്ചയിൽ നെയ്യാറിന്റെ കനാലിലേയ്ക്കാണ് കാർ മറിഞ്ഞത്. വീരണ കാവ് സ്വദേശിയായ അഭിലാഷ് - ചിഞ്ചു ദമ്പതികളും ഇവരുടെ രണ്ടു മക്കളും ആണ് കാറിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. മാർത്താണ്ഡത്ത് പോയി മടങ്ങിവരവെ രാത്രി 12 30 ആണ് കാർ നിയന്ത്രണം തെറ്റി കനാലിലേക്ക് പതിച്ചത്. വശത്ത് സുരക്ഷ ഭിത്തികൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത കാടുപിടിച്ചു കിടന്നിരുന്ന റോഡിൻറെ വശത്ത് കൂടെ കാർ കനാലിലേക്ക് വീഴുക ആയിരുന്നു
