Woodturning: Super Dry and Cracked Cherry Burl - Will it Hold Together!?

Some friends gave me a section of cherry with a burl growing most of the way around it. This piece had been in the pole barn for I don't even know how long, but this is the driest, hardest, most cracked piece of wood I've ever tackled and it fought me every step of the way. I am persistent, however, and persevered! While one of the most challenging pieces I've worked with, the end result is also one of my favorite pieces so it was worth the struggle.
