Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you a mysterious Civil Defense Siren that is heard in Movies/TV Shows/Video Games and others such as:
Team Fortress 2.
Twister.
The Mist.
and others.
According to sources, the sound is a Harry O Ricci (H.O.R) Siro-Drone Siren, and I have no idea who was the first to record the Siren sound before Hollywood got their hands on it.
Harry O Ricci founded his Siren business in Stapleton, Staten Island, NY in the 1940s, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in the 1960s.
I don't know what happened to his business after his death, does anyone know???
If anyone has any information on the Siren Sound origins (including possible links), that would be appreciated.
