It has almost been a year when Master Winwood opened for the Doobies.. It was a fantastic opportunity for the band as well as Lilly to jam and showcase her vocal chops to a wider fan base... It was only in Tinley Park when we got the chance to have Master Winwood himself jamming with the Brothers...
They invited Master Winwood for "Amazing Grace", "Takin' It To The Streets" as well as "Listen To The Music"... Goes without saying, they go through a quick instrumental version of "Amazing Grace" with Master Winwood on the B3...
The ICONIC Hymn was written by John Newton in 1772... Newton was of course a renowned Atheist until that faithful day in 1748 aboard the HMS Greyhound - as the SKY was Falling Apart - Newton saw the Light...
