In this video I'll show you how to do a compression test on a 2001 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6.
If you have low compression on one cylinder, you likely have a leaking exhaust valve. To repair this means removal of the cylinder head and valves, remanufacturing the valve seats and more. It can cost 1,500-3,000 dollars depending on your mechanic's hourly rates. Providentially, mine didn't have this issue. Whew!
