This session takes a look at the defined term service all the way back to the 1923 edition of the national electrical code. We will explore this definition as it developed over the years into what it is today. We will understand how it derived as it is, and its relationship to other areas of the national electrical code. During this session, we will also discuss other terms related to the service, including, but not limited to service conductors and the service point. As you watch this video, you will understand how changes in the code have rippling effects to other areas of the code, even if there was no original intention to do so.
