Gareth Evans teasing HAVOC... in 2018 !

Back in 2018, at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain, director Gareth Evans was promoting his UK gothic folk horror Netflix film "Apostle".

In this rare interview excerpt, he hinted at an action-thriller he would direct after a TV series he hadn’t even started yet — "Gangs of London" (2020).

He didn’t mention a title at the time…

But the film turned out to be the Netflix film "Havoc" — shot in 2021 over 78 days, and finally hitting Netflix on April 25, 2025, starring Tom Hardy, Jessie Mei Li, Forest Whitaker and Timothy Olyphant, with action designed by Jude Poyer and co-produced with Severn Screen and XYZ Films.
