I recorded this one last night - Bernard Fanning's beautiful song "Watch over me".
Bernard said he wanted to write a hymn and this song truly became one when it was used in a TV campaign to bring awareness of young Australians with disabilities living in aged care homes, simply because there is no where else for them to go. It brought to light that even in a country as advanced as Australia, no other institutions existed. Last year a national government action plan to address the problem was announced.
I really admire Bernard both as a musician but also as a spokesperson for those without a voice.
