World in Conflict was one of the first few RTS games I played in my teenage years that I really fell in love with: and for good reason. There are plenty of reasons for why this game is still such a stand out example within the niche genre of real time strategy games, and it's reasons that you may not expect. Though, ultimately, considering everything this game excelled at when it was first released almost 16 years ago, the two big questions I set out to answer in this retrospective video are:

What is it that made World in Conflict such a unique game, and does it still hold up in 2023? I hope that, by the end of this video, my answers for these questions are quite clear.
