The clavis EV HTK plus feels like it offers more value than the creta EV Executive. It has more standard features and offers the flexibility of 7 seats or a bigger boot.

The only area I felt it was inferior to the creta was sound insulation.

ICCU issues aside, it sure looks to a well rounded urban runabout. Range anxiety for highway runs might not be a concern in a couple of years as the charging ecosystem matures.

As for the taxi variant, it seems to be no brainer as the BYD E6 is substantially pricier.I am looking for a new car, and my choices are all over the place. My primary use case is going on short trips nearby Pune for mountains and forts.

Although my running isn't much - much less than 1000 kms a month - I am still interested in getting an EV, for the following reasons:

None of the automatics can match the smoothness of EVs
Plenty of power, without turbo lag
Cheap running means I'll use my car more

However, I am not prepared to make big compromises that many EVs come bundled with. Harrier EV is a prime example. You buy a huge car, and get space equivalent of a Baleno.

I had written off Clavis EV on this thread post the price reveal. But decided to check it out yesterday, as it was on the way to a Tata showroom, where I was headed to test drive Nexon EV.

Having happily owned a Carens earlier, I am already familiar with the design. So what surprised me was not the differences, but how similar the EV is to the ICE version. Almost the same amount of space everywhere. How did Kia manage this (without a born EV platform), which Tata and Mahindra couldn't?
