(Trip Report #4) Here's a short video of my flight from Taiwan Taoyuan (TPE/RCTP) to Hong Kong International (HKG/VHHH) in an EVA Air 747-400 (Registration B16409). The plane is unusual among 747-400s in that it's one of the 'combi' aircraft; the main cabin of the plane in shared between passengers (in the front) and cargo (in the back). What made this flight so neat was that, whereas usually you have to fly first or business class to sit in the front section of a 747, I was able to sit just one row from the nose cone in the equivalent of an economy plus seat! In the video you'll see all of the 'first floor' cabin (up to the wall separating the cargo from the passengers), some pictures of the plane from outside, and views of the scenery that we pass (Taiwan and Guangdong province).
