BNSF had a washout near DeSoto, WI which took out both mains on April 27th. This was due to high waters, and a washed out of both mainlines. The cars which didn't derail, were ferried back to the Twin Cities, and had a classic EMD SD40-2 leading the way!
Starting off at Saint Paul Park, we'll see the derailment rescue train being lead by BNSF 1592, BNSF 3175, and BNSF 7970. It was symboled as a Z-PDCSTP, and was made up of the cars that didn't derail. Seeing a mainline train, lead with an SD40-2 was a SIGHT. After seeing it at Saint Paul Park, it had to meet a few trains at Newport. Once it got a route, it took off like a rocket, and was making good time to Midway at Saint Paul. I almost got full at Jackson St, and we'll see it one last time as it pulls into Midway under stormy skies. Certainly a cool, unique, and rare move to occur!
