Two London Transport Buses left Chiswick Garage in June 1953, traveling across many European countries to Zurich. Their journey was undertaken as part of the British exhibition in Zurich at the time, and is documented by British Transport Films. After Zurich the buses went on to Malmo in Sweden, and returned in August having covered some 6,300 miles.
I understand the buses are a Leyland Park Royal (RTL 1459) and the latter an AEC Weymann (RTL 3710). Registrations were NLE 733 and NLE 817 respectively. (Thanks to the website "Trams of Zürich" for some of these details).
