Makeinu Shijou Shugi English Cover [Synthesizer V 2 Yuma]

ok so backstory i don't usually do this kind of thing but i had this moment where i was feeling nostalgic about old english covers of vocaloid songs (especially kagepro. that's how i got into it. smile) and i thought you know what. shuuen no shiori needs more of those. it's good for the ecosystem right. and i like doing (99% unpublished) vocasynth covers of songs. so i killed the cringe inside me. somebody had to do it.

um. why this song. it's one of the only ones that has an instrumental... i started attempting gentle ghost story (filmclub :) ) (not as an english cover btw just like normal style) but there was no existing ust and i tried but i'm lowkey too pitchdeaf. have i mentioned i have no musical skill i'm just in this for the love of the game

my lyrics are mid but i feel a bit better about them being mid because this is kind of a deeply unserious song. the original has 3 "yume"s and i managed to use the word "dream" SIX. TIMES. that's twice the dreaming. dreams georg. no that's the wrong character. thank you to the eng translators whose work i referenced for this task (berrysubs mostly) because i kind of don't know japanese.

the mixing is kind of wack. the instrumental might Still be a little quiet but honestly i can't be bothered to tinker with it anymore. also i spent a stupid amount of time on the text for the video (and discovered vegas protype titler which is officially my new best friend) because i love over-committing.
