On my second day the weather looked fair enough to conquer the 3,143 meter high Mount Fansipan, also called the “Roof of Indochina.”
And off I went, but the journey ended in a different way than I expected.
Once more I learned to never underestimate the mountains! Even here in Vietnam the weather can change unpredictable fast. Blue skies can cloud over in minutes and foggy conditions can clear just as quickly and sudden wind gusts on top and during the cable car ride can make it very uncomfortable and scary.
