The hood latch switch on my 2013 Mazda6 has an arm that was not contacting the hood latch armature and therefore the switch was not closing the circuit as it should when the hood is closed. I fixed this issue and show you how I did it in this video. There is a widely known problem with this generation (GH; MY2009-2013 USDM) Mazda6 where the alarm will go off at random times with some owners reporting battery drain as well. Many owners believe the hood latch switch to be the culprit. Based on what I am seeing, there may be some truth to this. I will certainly update this description with what I find.
