The family worked together to make a small stone pond in the fields, a place where we wash fruits and vegetables and give water to the animals.
Later, we made a simple homemade apple dessert and enjoyed it with warm bread beside our wood stove.
This is peaceful Afghan village life — full of family, nature, and simplicity.
