ATTOM’s July 2025 Foreclosure Report just landed—and the numbers are eye-opening:

• Total foreclosure filings: 36,128—that’s up 11% from June and 13% from July 2024. • Foreclosure starts spiked: 24,302 homes went into process—12% MoM, 11% YoY. • REOs (banks repossessing homes): 3,866—down 1% from June, but up 18% from last year. • Biggest state foreclosure rates: Nevada, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina, Illinois. • Metro hot spots: Houston, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Riverside & Cleveland are seeing sharp increases.
