Repairing Speedometer drive on Muncie 4 Speed Transmission

My speedometer needle was bouncing around in my 1971 C3 Corvette when the car would first start to move and again around 55/60 MPH. In this video I troubleshoot the speedometer circuit to find the problem. I think I traced it back to the cable bullet that holds the plastic gear. I machined a new bullet that fit tighter in the tail shaft housing and on the plastic gear shaft. I hope that takes care of the issue. I will have to wait until I re-install the engine and transmission in the car. That will be a while due to the fact that I am currently prepping the car for new paint. I will make a follow up video on this issue was the car is back together, and I can take it for a test drive.
