Ingredients
1. Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp for marination & 1 tsp for masala
2. Garam Masala : 1 tsp for marination & 1 for masala
3. Red chilly powder : 1 tsp
4. Black pepper powder : 1 tsp
5. Kashmiri chilly powder : 1 tsp for marination & 1 tsp for masala
6. Vinegar : 1 tsp
7. Corn flour : 2 tbs for marination & 1 tsp for masala
8. Soy Sauce : ½ tsp
9. Whole red chilly : 3
10. Red chilly flakes : 1 tsp
11. Curry leaves
12. Cashews & Resins
13. Grated coconut : 1 tsp
14. Finely chopped onions : 2
15. Shallot paste : 1 tsp
16. Coriander Powder : 1 tsp
17. Tomato Sauce : 1 tbs
18. Salt
19. Oil
20. Water
Method of preparation:
Frying Chicken pieces
Mix ingredients from 1-6 and add salt and chicken pieces. Mix well.
Add corn flour and soy sauce for a gentle coating. Rest it for 30 mins.
Shallow fry the chicken in oil. Fry both sides for around 8-10mins.
Add some curry leaves for a better flavor.
Masala Preparation:
Take a kadai and heat oil.
Add whole red chilly, chilly flakes and curry leaves. Saute well.
Add cashews and resin.
Add grated coconut. Once the coconut is fried well add chopped onions followed by shallot paste, ginger & garlic paste, coriander powder and tomato sauce. Cook until the rawness of the ingredients is gone. Masala is ready.
Now Its time to add the fried chicken pieces with the masala.
After adding close the lid and cook for 5 mins at low flame.
Make a mixture of 1 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder and 1 tsp corn flour with water add it to the masala.
Add more water if extra gravy is required.
Finally add 1/2 tsp garam masala.
For more spicy flavor top it with some more red chilly flakes.
