Exploring the beautiful northern coast of Kangaroo Island, we swing by Kingscote in search of the best food and drink on the island. In this video, we discover the island's best hot chocolate and chow down at a local's secret diner, serving amazing Thai food with live music and cold drinks.

As we left the huge wilderness of Flinders Chase National Park, we began our final day's journey along the northern coast of KI back to the ferry port. With the beautiful wildlife of the national park still fresh on our minds, we stopped in at the Emu Bay visitor centre and beach to stretch our legs and soak up the beautiful aromas and crisp sea breeze.

Continuing east, we finally arrived at the island largest town, Kingscote, where we visited the Chocol' Art cafe for arguably one of Australia's BEST hot chocolates. Bellies full and chocolate cravings fixed, we drove on to a secret viewpoint known locally as the Red Banks Viewpoint.

This spectacular sunset spot does not come without its flaws, as we quickly discovered when we were savagely attacked by flies. Hopping back into the van, we made our escape to another local's secret spot known as the Tru Thai restaurant.

This converted barn now hosts a fat food truck serving incredible Thai food, a bar serving cold drinks and cocktails, and a stage hosting live music and entertainment. The perfect way to end an amazing Kangaroo Island road trip.
