Learn to crochet this squishy scarf for kids and adults (23 stitches wide for 8 years old + or add or take away multiple of 3 for wider or narrower scarf)
Use Aran, worsted or 2 strands of double knitting weight yarn and a size 6mm crochet for superb drape.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Chain 23 stitches
Row 1: In 2nd chain from hook make a single crochet. Single crochet to end. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 2: Double crochet in first chain, skip 2 stitches, 3 double crochet in next chain.* Repeat from * to ** until there are 3 stitches left skip 2, double crochet in last stitch, 2 chain, turn
Row 3 (repeat row): Double crochet in first stitch. 3 double crochet in the middle double crochet from the row below. Repeat the 3 double crochet in the middle stitch of every cluster until the end of the row. Double crochet in top of chain from previous row. 2 chain and turn.
Repeat Row 3 until your scarf is the length you need. For toddlers and kiddos crochet about the same length as their height.
