W123 Alternator AL129X upgrade, 65a to 115a charging system

The charging system on w123s is adequate at best. The factory alternator is an Bosch AL80X, which puts out either 55a or 65a. Not a whole lot when the glow system could draw nearly 100a on its own.
I've had glow relays stick on and drain the battery while driving.
If you're doing short trips, or lots of cold starts it could very easily run your battery low.
Those are problems I don't have anymore! This new alternator really puts out serious power, I've even jump started a school bus with my car with this alternator easily.
