I tried to make this Amon Amarth cover different (and better) from my past ones. When I first began my collection of piano interpretations, I intended the translation to be as literal as possible; this limited my chance to incorporate my own musical voice. Also, it resulted in a texture a bit too thin. Variation within rhythm and harmony is a characteristic that I am now very sensitive to - especially with the repetitive pieces that I cover.

And please, DO NOT ask me for the sheet music for this piece. I found out everything by ear and I do not have the score written out, so I have no way of giving it to you. If and when I create the sheet music for my covers, I will release a bulletin and post a link to them on my profile. Thank you.

When the new Amon Amarth CD is released (Surtur Rising), I'll be sure to cover those tracks as well! :)
