In early June of 2015, we ventured west on the Union Pacific Memphis Subdivision from Marion, AR to Bald Knob, AR, where we joined their double-track main into Little Rock. The former MoPac mainlines were exceptionally busy during our visit, resulting in some great (albeit slow-moving) action. The older tri-light signals were also a nice treat.
With both ground and drone footage, you'll see a variety of power crossing the flatlands of eastern Arkansas. This includes an ex-SP DPU on a stack train, more familiar NS and CSX visitors, a snoot nose SD40-2, and a blue GATX Geep. We'll also take an aerial look at the enormous Jenks Shops in North Little Rock, where UP performs minor and major maintenance on its diesel fleet. Enjoy the show!
