Do pots go in here or just test cones? And fixing hardware with software

In my rebuilt Skutt kiln I've had both under fires and over fires. This time I was able to hit close to cone 6 manually (looking through the peephole). While doing that, I was debugging the system and finally found the key problem. The temperature sensor readings are not correct when the relays are on and the elements are firing. I changed the software so it only read the temperature while the elements are off. I also changed it so instead of using an average it uses a median (to better remove the outliers). The last change I made was to ensure there was a bit of time where the elements are off even if the PID controller wants the elements full on. This fixed the issue! The temperature readings I'm getting now are great and it's following the control program perfectly. I did one more firing with just cones and was able to automatically hit cone 6! Next up will be pots - finally!
