Just to be clear, Fnaf did take place in the 80s, so no, Zero did not willingly choose one person over the other, it's just that LGBTQ was frowned upon during the 80s and so choosing to marry James was the best option Zero could pick in order to not be looked at weirdly.
They were already pushing it by being openly non-binary.

Fnaf AU facts(general stuff only):

1. CC's name is Evan in my AU
2. Mrs.Afton's name is Clarissa, Her name is just shortened to Clara
3. Michael and Terrance are not the same person. Terrance is the oldest sibling of the Afton kids
4. Elizabeth got her name from her mom. One of Clara's middle names is Elizabeth, while the other is Roselle
5. William's middle name is Vincent, which he got from his Grandfather's name.
6. Both William and Clara had a decent childhood and/or don't have any problems with their families.
7. Clara has a good relationship with her half-sister
8. Fire is Michael's twin sister
9. Michael has a wife in my AU
10. I don't ship Elizabeth with anyone, but she does have a harmless crush on Gabriel (Freddy soul)
11. I ship EvanXNightmare, deal with it
12. Olivia is my Ballora soul, Clara possesses Nightmare Mangle
13. Michael possesses Nightmare Foxy, Along with the other tormentors possessing the other Nightmares, except for Nightmare himself. That has different soul.
14. Ennard is rebuilt using the parts of the other Funtimes, but he is not possessed by their souls, Ennard has a completely separate soul.
15. Evan doesn't forgive Michael for the prank, but he doesn't hate him anymore.
16. Elizabeth is technically the third Afton kid to die. With Terrance being the first and Amber being the second. But Elizabeth died before Evan.
17. Amber is the other Afton kids' half sister.
18. Glitchtrap is possessed by Amber. But did not control William to kill the missing children. He did that all on his own.

None of this is canon to the original storyline

And besides that, A lot of you watching my videos are probably minors, and I'm legally an adult, so not only does that make me uncomfortable, but that would be straight up illegal.
A minor is considered anyone under the age of 18
A legal adult is anyone who is 18 and older.
