C-Factor and Composite Restorations

Dr. David Alleman, DDS discusses C-factor, defined as the ratio of bonded to unbonded surfaces. Beyond understanding the definition, for composite restorations that are successful long-term, practitioners must understand how C-factor affects the flow of composite during polymerization and how to create a hybrid layer to dentin that matures without excessive stress.
