OUAT Regina/Emma//Heartache

In this little fanfiction I have devised in my head, Regina's perfect life is disturbed when her son finds out she is the Evil Queen of the Enchanted Forest. He races to find Snow White's daughter, his birth mother, who is the only one who can break the Evil Queen Regina's curse.

Emma at first doesn't believe she is evil, but then gets a taste of it when Regina begins to feel threatened by her presence and lashes out.

Regina feels jealous and hurt by her son's rejection of her and his sudden bond with Emma, and as Emma and her clash swords for his affections, Regina begins to realize that she is not who she used to be. Loving Henry has opened her heart, and she regrets on slight levels what she's done in the past. Dealing with the pain of her past, and the taunts of the town people accusing her of being evil, she becomes withdrawn and depressed.

Emma realized she has been offending and hurting Regina, and notices by Regina's facial expression that she has truly changed and apologizes to her, but Regina will have none of it. Emma tries several times to gain Regina's forgiveness without success.

Emma is taking a stroll in the woods with Hook, unable to stop feeling guilty and unable to get Regina off her mind when Regina finds them. She takes one look at them both, and evaporates. Emma goes after her, realizing that she has sentimental feelings for Regina, and confesses her feelings while Regina shuts herself in her room.

Regina realizes that she also has feelings for Emma, and is left feeling shocked, scared, and confused. She remembers what she was taught and what she followed her whole life..."Love is weakness."
